       In a bid to foster exchanges and knowledge sharing in academic affairs among colleges and universities while reinforcing innovation, development, and legacy, the Ministry of Education organized the "112th Annual Academic Affairs of All Colleges and Universities in the Central District" at the National Chin-Yi University of Technology (NCUT) on November 17. This comprehensive meeting, dubbed "The Long Meeting," was chaired by Director Wu, Lin-Hui of the Ministry of Education's Department of Academic Affairs and Special Education and hosted by the NCUT Affairs Office. Nearly 100 deans and representatives from 30 colleges and universities across the Central District were invited to participate.

       Director Wu, Lin-Hui presided over the opening ceremony, urging academic peers to embrace "early deployment, organizational transformation, and seizing opportunities." He also emphasized the importance of fostering deeper regional exchanges and crafting an improved learning environment for students. NCUT President Chen, Wen-Yuan extended a warm welcome to the academic directors, expressing gratitude for their dedicated efforts, particularly amidst rapid societal changes and the growing complexities of student affairs. President Chen acknowledged their frontline work in creating a conducive learning environment for students. Yang Jingying, the convenor of the Central District Academic Affairs Center, highlighted the opportunity for attendees to exchange ideas and collaborate on addressing current challenges, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of academic affairs.

       This conference featured several distinguished speakers who shared valuable insights and experiences. Chang, Ai-Ru, dean of the Beauty of the Mind Psychotherapy Center, delivered a special speech titled "Making a Turn in Life - Assistance and Counseling for College Students' Emotional Distress from a Dissociation and Diversity Perspective." Former deputy director of academic affairs at NCUT, Director Chao, Shen, discussed "School Security Manpower Operation and Organizational Transformation," while YU, Hui-Guang, Dean of Students at Feng Chia University, shared practical experiences on "Counseling Manpower Allocation Ratios and Difficulties."

       Director Yang, Yu-Hui from the Ministry of Education's Department of Technical and Vocational Education provided a comprehensive explanation on "Enhancing the Publicity of Higher Education: Improving the School Assistance Mechanism" under the "Higher Education Deepening Plan." Guo, Chong-Long, deputy director of the Taiwan Public Health Society and Dean of the National Taiwan Normal University School of Education, elaborated on "the active role and contribution of public health nurses in colleges and universities." Xu, Wen-Qin, chief of the Special Education Section of the Ministry of Education's Department of Student Affairs and Special Education, explained "Professional Certification of Resource Classroom Counselors in Colleges and Universities."

       Additionally, awards related to the Central District Friendly Campus were presented during the event. This included the Outstanding School award to Yu Da University of Science and Technology, the Outstanding Academic Supervisor award to Professor Chu, Yu-Shiu from China Medical University, and the Professor award to Tang Shian-He from CHAOYANG University of Technology. Awards for academic counselors were presented to Hong Cui'e from Feng-Chia University and Chan, Wan-Chian from China Medical University, while the outstanding mentor award went to Professor Chiang, Yon-Gjie from National Chung Hsing University.
